Every time I hear of a cause that is helped by those that sew I wish for the time to contribute myself; to help train non-wed mothers to sew for their babies, to sew baby shoes for preemies or newborns, to sew nursing aprons for new mothers who are having problems nursing in public. I recently came to the conclusion that I can help in my own way, by supplying patterns to those that help others.
So if you belong to a group, organization, or foundation that sews (or teaches others to sew) and are a Non-Profit, I would like to offer you any of the baby related patterns I have on my site for free.
Of interest to organizations promoting nursing might be the Pleated Privacy Nursing Apron pattern as well as the Twin/Toddler Nursing Pillow pattern which has a back support pillow. I also have a Boppy-styled Nursing Pillow Cover pattern
Any mother-to-be, including unwed mothers, might be interested in the Soft-Sole shoe collection which includes a Shoe, Sandal, Mary Jane, and Boot patterns. I also have available a large selection of Appliqués to use for decorating the shoes.
Financially challenged mothers might like to make a new Infant Car Seat Cover to help improve the look of the car seat they have or their own Fitted Crib Sheets.
If you are a non-profit organization supporting sick or terminally ill children you may be interested in the Shopping Cart Cover and Twin Shopping Cart Cover patterns I offer. These would be essential for any child under 50 pounds who still rides in shopping carts and has a low immunity system.
A sewing group that sews for hospitals might appreciate the Soft-Sole Shoe pattern for newborns and preemies as well as the Swaddle Blanket pattern.
I prefer that only one person from an organization/group contact me. When possible your patterns will be sent via email; if not possible I will mail them out. I need some proof that you are associated with the group you claim to be and will require a receipt for all products I send you. The patterns I send you can not be used to sew items for resale; all items must be donated or given away free. A credit link back to my site is not mandatory, but is always greatly appreciated.
Each organization is limited to $50 worth of patterns per six month period. All requests for patterns for non-profit organizations will be filled as time permits.
I’m really excited about this opportunity and hope it generates some positive feedback as well.
