Even the time-deprived, non-sewing, craft-challenged person can make this easy costume for Halloween. You can adapt it to fit any size child or adult. It is also a great idea for those parents of multiple children; you can have a whole group of Legos!
You will need:
Find a large flat box that is roughly the same height as your child from thighs to shoulder. Box must be wide and deep enough for them to fit in comfortably but not so large they have trouble maneuvering. Cut out entire bottom of box. Cut out a location for their head and arms.
Even though I used coffee cans for this costume, I recommend you using margarine/butter tubs or something similar in size. They weigh less and will stay on better. Glue onto the front of the box using your glue gun. For smaller children you can use play dough containers or aerosol lids. Tip: For multiple children alternate using 4 and 6 pegs on your box. For smaller children you can even use two.

Shoe box should be large enough for the top of their head to fit inside easily. Glue/tape lid closed. Cut a whole at bottom of box for the top of their head. You want it snug enough you can push the box on and it will stay; without hurting them. Glue on 6 small containers. For a large costume you can use aerosol lids. For a smaller costume marshmallows or coke lids.
Spray both boxes a solid matching color. Try to paint them a color that your child has solid clothes in.

Either take an empty Lego container as a “goody” bag or use any colored bucket and put a Lego logo on it.
