This adorable costume is made from tissue paper, poster board, and construction paper. You add your own yellow top and green tights/pants and you’re ready to go!
You will need:
Print out pattern pieces located at the bottom of this page. Cut out pattern pieces and piece together if necessary.
Cut out two headbands. Cut 12 inches of yellow ribbon and glue to one piece of cardboard, on opposite sides. Glue other piece of cardboard over the top of it, sandwiching the ribbon.

Cut out headband petals.

Rub glue all around the outside edge of the headband then stick the large petals on one at a time. When you have completed a circle rub glue along the bottom edge of the petals and continue. Use up all your large, and then start on medium. Work your way towards the center.

Take any small black items and glue them around the center of the flower. Buttons, beads, anything works. I used the black plastic things you melt on little boards . . . just because I had them.

Cut out two pieces of elastic the same size as your child’s waist. Overlap edges and staple together.

Cut out 30 pieces of each skirt petal. Fan three petals together with their tops together, then sort of pucker together at the top. Staple to elastic. Do this 9 more times. The large petals go on one piece of elastic and the small petals on the other.

Cut out three leaves. This is cutest when worn over a yellow leotard and green tights. Put on the small petal skirt first, then the large petal skirt. Take wide black ribbon and tie around waist to cover top of skirt. Using glue stick, attach leaves to random places on skirt and child.
