Free Directions for Cutting Foam for Sewing Purposes
If you have ever tried to make your own cushions you know how difficult cutting foam can be. The following tips take all the guess work out of cutting foam.
Supplies
Along with your foam piece you will need a marker, a ruler, and an electric knife.
Directions for Cutting Foam
- Using a ruler draw a line where you want to cut. If it will not show through your fabric a permanent marker works great.
- Place your foam piece on a table and using your electric knife start on one corner and slice just like you were cutting bread.
- When you reach the bottom allow your knife to rest of the table or counter top and slowly pull towards you to complete your cut.
