Measuring Your Child's Foot

Place your child's foot on a piece of paper and draw a line in front of the longest toe and behind the heel. Measure the distance between the two lines to determine the length of your child's foot.

It is recommened that you make your child's shoes 1/2-inch longer than the length of their foot. For example: if the length of their foot is 4-1/8 inch you would want to place them in a size 5 to allow them an additional 1/2 inch of wiggle/growth room. The measurements provided in the following chart are for finished SHOE length not the length of foot that wears that size. When your receive your patterns they will measure 1 inch (or more depending on the style) longer than the measurements below.
